Middle Schools Team Up for Suicide Prevention Night

Earlier this week, the Liberty and Lincoln Middle School girls' basketball teams joined forces for an important cause—raising awareness for Suicide Prevention. Both teams proudly wore their custom tie-dyed shirts, which they created together, to raise awareness and show their support for mental health.

"Suicide is the second highest level of death among adolescents (12-17) and young adults (18-24). The inspiration for bringing as much awareness to the message of “Hope” is simply the urgent desire for all of our young people to know their life is worth living, always," said Liberty coach Anya B. Covington. "We are wearing our “Hope” shirts all month to remind ourselves and everyone that we are each others greatest support, we are to prepared to listen, advocate, uplift and most importantly show and Give genuine love, care and concern. There is always HOPE.”
