Liberty Softball Places Third at State Tournament

Congratulations to the Liberty Softball Team for their third place finish at the IESA Class 3A State Tournament!
The Panthers won their opening round game, 24-9, over Manhattan on Friday afternoon before dropping a 12-5 decision to undefeated Chatham Glenwood in the semifinals.
Liberty bounced back to defeat Stanford Olympia, 6-3, in the third-place game and claim the school's second state trophy in program history. The 2009 team also finished third.
The Panthers finish the season with an 18-6-1 record.
