Liberty Boys and Girls Cross Country to be Represented at State Meet

The Liberty boys cross country team has advanced to the Class 4A state meet, while individuals Serena Shapiro and Emily Stahlheber from the girls team have also advanced.
The state meet will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Maxwell Park in Normal. The girls are scheduled to run at 1:45 p.m. and the boys at 2:30 p.m.
Shapiro won the sectional individual title with a time of 12:34.4 in the two-mile race.
