Liberty 8th Grade Makes STL City 14U Team

Congratulations to Devon Coates, an 8th-grade student at Liberty Middle School, for earning a coveted spot on the STL City U14 soccer team! Devon is the only representative from the Metro East region, standing out among over 180 players who tried out for the team.
The St. Louis CITY SC Academy is the official youth development program for St. Louis CITY SC, fostering young talent to compete at the highest levels.
Devon, who has been passionate about soccer since the age of four, is thrilled about this new opportunity.
“It means a lot to make the team. I’ve been dreaming about this since they created it, and I’m excited to play and be the best I can be.”
Playing as a striker and winger, Devon will kick off the season with STL City U14 this weekend, with matches continuing through November.
